Ongoing Fundraising Needed We are seeking donations of goods/vouchers to do up gift baskets for raffles for fundraising! We understand it's a hard time for many....it could be as simple as a grocery item/a plant, craft/artwork, or perhaps a voucher from a business - which we will advertise our thanks for. A lot of small things add up! And as always we are very grateful to those that already help us so much! Please message us if you can help. Thank you kindly.
15 April 2021 - HELP NEEDED PLEASE RETIRED WORKING DOG NEEDING SURGERY About a month ago we got a very special big boy into our care - "Boots", a 6 year old Huntaway, he had been a working dog but retired early due to injury and needed a new home. He is absolutely gorgeous, with a beautiful laid back temperament, and is really enjoying the home/pet life! He also has the added bonus of enjoying some country time, nice views, cruising on the back of the bike. We knew that when we took Boots in that he was going to need a bit of extra vet work, we just didn't know how much. It turns out he is needing the same surgery that Light had 4 weeks ago, he has Arthritis from a traumatic injury in his right front leg, and Carpel Arthrodesis surgery is necessary. What we didn't know was that Boots also has cruciate problems in his right back leg, and requires surgery for this also. Each surgery will need to be done separately, the more urgent first, then the other once he has recovered. Boot's has been in a lot of pain for some time now, and deserves this help to live a full pain free life. Each surgery is $3,000, a total of $6,000. We also have another special girl - Roxy, she arrived a couple of weeks ago, she will be needing extra vet care, she goes in for her xrays in a week (possible cruciate). She arrived at 29kg, target weight is 20kg. We will be doing fundraising stalls, raffles etc and for those that wish to contribute directly, here are the details: Pound Paws Rescue 06-0941-0488095-00 ref Boots https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/pound-paws-rescue The last photo is from Boot's previous home, the other photos are of him in foster care. His foster carers have decided they cannot let him go and have just recently adopted him. Onwards and upwards! Thanks all for your support. Much appreciated.
